Caterina Nonis

Caterina Nonis è regista, educatrice e attrice italo-americana. Si diploma alla New York University Tisch School of the Arts, frequentando lo Stella Adler Studio e la Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Prosegue la sua formazione a New York con Fiasco Theatre e Bedlam Theatre e in Italia alla Biennale College Teatro di Venezia. Negli Stati Uniti collabora con Inheritance Theatre Project a spettacoli e progetti volti all’integrazione di diverse comunità e al coinvolgimento di non-teatranti di tutte le età nel processo artistico. È stata regista, collaboratrice e talvolta attrice per compagnie Newyorkesi come Page 73, The Habitat, Kairos Italy Theatre, NYMadness, Shotz! Amios, Theatre East, Modern Shakespeare Project, Key Fest, Anti-Isolation Arts Factory. Il suo documentario Mario è stato presentato a CinemAmbiente (Torino 2021) e premiato al festival Moviemmece (Napoli 2022). Insegna teatro, inglese e materie accademiche in diverse scuole e contesti tra cui The Allen-Stevenson School, Harvest Collegiate School, Academy of The City, Stella Adler Studio.

Caterina Nonis is an Italian-American director, educator, and actor. She graduated from New York University, Tisch School of the Arts at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She also trained with Fiasco Theater Company and Bedlam Theatre in New York, and attended workshops at the Biennale College Teatro in Venice, Italy. In the United States, she collaborated with Inheritance Theatre Project on several productions and projects aimed at integrating communities and involving non-theatremakers in the artistic process. She has directed, collaborated and sometimes acted with New York-based companies such as Page 73, The Habitat, Kairos Italy Theatre, NYMadness, Shotz! Amios, Theatre East, Modern Shakespeare Project, Key Fest, Anti-Isolation Arts Factory. Her documentary Mario was presented at CinemAmbiente (Turin, 2021) and awarded Best Documentary at Moviemmece Festival (Naples, 2022). She has taught theatre, English and academics in various schools and contexts including The Allen-Stevenson School, Harvest Collegiate School, Academy of the City, the Stella Adler Studio.
